Rivini Trunk Show Spring 2015 Trends

For her spring 2015 collection, designer Rita Vinieris looked to photographs for inspiration. The contrast between light and dark shadows laid the foundation for the multidimensional fabrics used for her designs.

The bridal trends for the spring 2015 season featured lace, embroidery, low necklines, and plunging back details. The Rivini collection melded lace and organza fabrics to create a light and romantic take on the classic lace look, while the use of embroidery was often left to the bodices of gowns, as a contrast against a dramatic skirt. There were also several exaggerated necklines and backs down the runway, each offering a sleek aura for a more modern bride.

Our Rivini trunk show will be running September 4th through 6th. To schedule an appointment simply call 202 965-4696 or email info@carinesbridal.com.

Here are some of our favorite examples of Rivini’s take on the spring 2015 bridal trends…

Rivini Spring 2015 Bridal Trunk Show

“In today’s world of selfies and smartphone cameras, Rita Vinieris reflected on what life was like before cameras. She came across the process of photograms, the process of creating a photographic image without the use of a camera, resulting in a negative shadow image. Thus for her spring Rivini collection, she combined that idea along with 3-D printing to create beautiful dresses done in textural patterns and 3-D embroideries. A hand-beaded gown was worked in nude tulle layered over chiffon and silk charmeuse, its intricate beadwork creating a 3-D effect. A variety of dresses were also produced via 3-D printers, including a strapless gown in organza, tulle and leather.

In a humorous twist — and a smart marketing move — the models lined up at the end of the show and took Instagram selfies and photos of the front row.” – Women’s Wear Daily
