One Dress: Two Generations

I love this David Meister dress from Carine’s Bridal Atelier because it works so well for so many women. From a mother of the bride to a guest of the wedding or even a bride to be. The sheen of the fabric gives the dress an evening flair and is so unique in its texture. The cap sleeve and ruching at the side provides coverage and a flattering shape for more mature women while the gold hardware and cut out detail at the neckline puts a fun twist on the typical cocktail dress for a younger feel as well.

This dress should be paired with simple accessories since the fabric has so much life. I would wear a shoe with some metallic detail in a simple shape. For a more mature woman a lower heel and less shine tends to work better.

For a younger look a shoe with a simple shape still works but a higher heel makes more of a statement.
Earrings are all you need to top off this look. For a mother of the bride or mature guest I would go with a classic option like this glamourous stud.
For a bride or younger guest, something more linear and sassy is the best match.

Introducing Evening Wear at Carine’s Bridal Atelier

With summer coming to an unfortunate quick halt,

if anyone else is like me …

we’re already having the ‘end of summer blues.’
Luckily, fall and winter brings the season of glam and glitz

for galas, formal balls and holiday parties.

So with that being said, we are starting fall with an

Evening Wear Trunk Show

September 6th-12th, 2011

Our featured designers are …

Monique Lhuillier and Theia

What is Theia?

Theia is the latest addition Carine’s.

We are beginning to carry evening wear

and thought that Theia would be the perfect choice.

Designer Don O’Neill describes Theia Collection as,

“The Theia Collection was created

to bring out a woman’s inner goddess.

The goddess Theia, who ruled during the Greek golden age,

inspires the collection.

Her incredible power was the gift of light;

all that she gazed upon glittered,

becoming luminous and radiant.

She imbued gold and silver with their shine.”
