Happy Tuesday everyone! Sure hope the weather turns around here in D.C., it’s looking a little gloomy out there. But here is something that we think will turn your day sunny! Our girl, Eden Raskin, is not only the amazing blogger behind, Garden of Glam, but she is also the Director of Operations for G.L.A.M. (Giving Labels a Meaning).
This Thursday evening, Eden and Meaghan Moynahan, the founder & CEO of G.L.A.M. ( she also owns and operates the fashion blog District Sparkle) will be hosting G.L.A.M’s BIG Fashion Event, benefitting Safe Shores DC and their incredible work and dedication to protecting children exposed to abuse, trauma, and violence. 100% of the profits from ticket sales, raffle sales, and vendor registration from this event will be donated to Safe Shores DC.
The event will take place on Thursday, June 20 from 6:30-9pm at 906 H St NE. The Event will feature pop up shops from local designers and boutiques as well as a fashion presentation.
I asked Eden to tell me why she is so passionate about this event and children advocacy, and here is what she said, “While fashion and youth advocacy are seemingly disparate causes, G.L.A.M. allows us to combine our love of fashion with our desire to help children in need. Through our past full-time and volunteer experiences we both became incredibly passionate about children’s advocacy and believe in the importance of supporting and nurturing local youth.”
Way to go Eden and Meaghan!
