Carolina Herrera Spring 2012

Spring Bridal Market has officially begun!

Day 1…

Who better to start off the season than Carolina Herrera?! The regal essence of her collection coincided with the elegance that defines her style.

The inspiration behind the collection is the “Carolina Herrera Woman of Today”. Her Spring 2012 bridal collection features gowns for every bride, perfect for a wedding at the beach or a ceremony at the altar. Carolina gave a twist to traditional fabrics through her use of color and unexpected embellishments.

We felt a regal undertone throughout the collection, perhaps inspired by the upcoming royal wedding, what do you think…?!?!

The show began with Anastasia

This eyelet fabric, a favorite of Carolina’s, got revamped with a full dramatic skirt, for the girly girl in all of us

Followed by Erin

A modern day Grace Kelly would shine in this soft chantilly lace gown… and definitely not Grandma’s illusion neckline- GORGEOUS!

Emily
featured a bustle skirt and color block motif….

Pale grey, champagne, off white, silk duchess all in one pretty package
The designer also mentioned to us that the skirt is created using only one seam!!!

Chrissy
emphasized the royal undertone of the collection using three-quarter length sleeves…

A bit of Audrey Hepburn from Funny Face is what we see in this silk duchess gown

Rachel
walked the line between sweet and seductive

The contrasting effect of black and ivory cotton showcased the beautiful texture of the fabric…

Annaleise
was definitely a crowd pleaser!

Strapless organza gown trimmed with ostrich feathers complimented by a gorgeous bolero

We tip our hat to you Carolina! Fabulous collection!!!

Off to our next show… sending love from NYC!!!
