Carine’s Bridal Atelier
October 21-23, 2010
Greetings from NYC! It’s so nice to be back in the city!
Jessica and I are in New York City for Bridal Market this week.
We’re running from appointment to appointment to meet
with designers to see all of the new collections.
I’m surrounded by gorgeous silks, lace, and tulle- every girl’s dream!
In my excitement of Bridal Market, I’m taking the
Rivini Fall 2011 dresses back to the atelier with me!
This season’s collection is all about bringing the wonders
of a garden into your gown through
gorgeous draping, delicate hand pleating, and stunning crystals and pearls.
I got a chance to ask Rita Vinieris, head designer at Rivini
what the inspiration for the collection was …
“Inspired by the unstructured style of Monet’s Gardens at Giverny, France,
a contrast of asymmetries and ethereal textures.
Fall 2011 is a sea of diaphanous silk organzas and tulles.
Bias draping, and hand pleating is a harmonious contrast
to the supple petals of hand crafted flowers.
The delicate softness of the season
is contrasted with Chantilly laces, a touch of black
and the luminescence of crystals and pearls.
A sense of couture effortlessness.” -Rita Vinieris

I’m thinking about picking up a part time job photographing fashion shows!)
